Vintage Floors is the dream of a beautiful and exquisite parquet floor come true. It is the antique parquet floor as we know it from 17th century castles and manors around Europe applied the latest technology within floor production.

Christian Rothe, founder and CEO of Vintage Floors, is originally educated in the fine arts of restoring antique furniture. At the young age of 17 he obtained his degree in fine carpentry, making him one of the youngest antique furniture restorers in Denmark. At the age of 18 he had already opened his first workshop employing several people both on and off site, restoring antique furniture.

His restoration assignments cover most of Europe from Russia to France, Germany and Scandinavia.

On his journeys around Europe Christian was often asked if he knew of flooring, especially parquet flooring, which looked different and extraordinary. Having had to reply; "No" a number of times, Christian, in the summer of 2006, decided it was time to do something about it.

With an eye for detail and an extensive knowledge of wood 18 different floor designs were produced. Six floor designs were discarded, they were simply not good enough.

The Vintage Floors parquet floor is unique. The beauty lies not only in the patterns and the 1st. class oak wood used, which speak for themselves, but the production method with each single piece of oak parquet finished by hand for a perfect fit and the intelligent assembly technique of each floor square, compromises a floor which can only be found at Vintage Floors.
